What is an hour of your time spent on writing a letter if it may help to save you from having to endure years of construction and a massive overdevelopment at your doorstep for the rest of your life?
Please write a letter of objection, outlining how the Meriton development will personally affect you and have a negative impact on you and/or your families' lives (e.g. traffic when you commute to work, public transport, parking, views, overshadowing, noise, overpopulation, local character, property values, natural environment, local heritage, recreational value of the area, trust in the original Masterplan, etc.). We are often asked for a template letter, however, it will have that much more impact if you put things in context of your own, personal circumstances. We have tried to give some guidance in the template letter (available in Downloads section) which you should amend as you see fit. You can look for some further inspiration on our website: here, here and here.
Who should I send my letter to?
Now, that the planning proposal is under review by the Sydney planning panel, we suggest you send your letter to Randwick City Council (and ask for it to be tabled with the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel):
Randwick City Council
General Manager
30 Frances Street, Randwick NSW 2031
quoting the Reference Number RR-2021-2
You can also send your letter to The Hon. Rob Stokes, MP (Minister for Planning and Public Spaces), 52 Martin Place, Sydney NSW 2000, or email his Pittwater Electorate Office at pittwater@parliament.nsw.gov.au.
You may also want to consider contacting our local representatives, Matt Thistlethwaite, MP (Federal) and Michael Daley, MP (State) who are both avid supporters of Save Little Bay.
We know that emotions are running high. We urge you though to please keep your letters polite and fact-based. Nothing would hurt our campaign & objectives more than personal insults and abuse. Thank you!
If you can afford to make a donation to Save Little Bay - even in these difficult and uncertain times - it would be very much appreciated.
We will be using the funds to obtain access to Government information under freedom of information laws (which always attract fees) and for simple things such as our website, stickers and other campaign collaterals.
Our commitment to you is that we will spend the money
responsibly and transparently.
Please share the donation link with your family & friends!
Thank you for your support,
Olde Lorenzen & Antony Gould

We have launched an online petition immediately after the Meriton proposal was published in late September 2019. The petition has already been signed by thousands and thousands of community members. Join the list of opponents and add your signature online today. Follow this link.
Our campaign is build on people power.
We would be grateful for your support, either by offering pro bono advice, by helping the cause through volunteering or simply by signing up to our email list to stay informed.
Do you personally have any specific professional expertise which could be useful and relevant for our Save Little Bay campaign? And would you be able to offer that expertise on a pro bono basis (as much or little as you can) (e.g. town planner, solicitor (in relevant area of law), traffic engineer, media/PR, heritage consultant, environmental scientist, etc.)
Are you friends or good mates with well-known and well-respected people of influence (within NSW or even nationally) who you think would be keen to support our cause (e.g. politician (both sides of the aisle), actor, artist, sportsman and -woman, celebrity, etc.)
We are looking for Save Little Bay Street Representatives who are willing to do a letterbox drop on their street or their apartment building from time to time. Would you be keen to become a Street Representative?
If any of the above applies to you, please contact us, send us a Facebook Message or flick us an email to info@savelittlebay.co.
